What kind of print should I buy?

This piece is an original work from the artist. (All paint, and no printing ink!) It is the most personal: every color and texture was precisely chosen by the artist. Often, on original works of art, even the frame is handmade by the artist. There will never be anything exactly like it! Even if the artist duplicates that painting for prints*, the embellishments on prints will be different, the colors of printing will be slightly different than your original.  You will always have the true and only original.

The closest thing to an original you can get! A giclee is an inkjet print of the original work of art that has been embellished with paint by the artist to show brushstrokes and create 3D texture. A great option if the original is sold and unavailable, or if you're on a budget but still want the artist's personal touch. Canvas giclee's are embellished, sealed with high-gloss varnish, then rolled up in a shipping tube and mailed to you. You will then take it to a framer near you to have it stretched or framed. Speak to your local framer to see what options suit your taste.

(All my canvas prints are "Gallery-wrapped" and have a "mirror-edge" printed to extend the painting around the edges of a one-inch wood stretcher bar frame. This canvas print will ship right from my high-quality printer to your door. It will arrive in a heavy duty shipping tube. When you pull the canvas out, you will notice it is 1-2 inches bigger on all sides than what you ordered-- this is so you can take it to your preferred framer and they can stretch the canvas around a 1-1.5 inch stretcher bar frame, and the sides will look the same as the artwork on front! 

If you choose to purchase a digital download, you are buying a digital file. It will be the original, highest quality available file of that image which you can then print to your heart's delight through whichever printer you choose. The file will be emailed to you immediately after your purchase is complete, allowing you to save it to your computer.
